### Bio in Notion

Coffee-drinker and serial hiker. Originally from Lithuania, Vilnius. Studied Physics then PhD in Material Science in Cambridge. After those 8 years in UK, managed to escape it just before Brexit, and went on to work as a back-end C++ dev in Côte d'Azur in Amadeus. There discovered that the Sea is just meh, while the mountains rock. Moved to Munich less than a year later to do some ~~AI~~ programming in an AI company!

#### Role & Performance Objectives

- Regularly and reliably deliver value to our users.
- Continuously increase team productivity via good quality code, good development and deployment practices, convenient setup, and low unplanned technical debt.
- Foster the engineering team to become great engineers in both the short-term (by actively giving feedback and being easily approachable for in-depth explanations) and the long-term (by growing a high-quality learning material repository, as well as documenting important internal decisions in ADRs).
- Stay up-to-date and learn about technologies as they are or might become relevant for our product.
- Ensure high up-time and minimal latency while using the app for our users.
- Ensure reasonable compute/cloud resource allocation to spend less without compromising the user experience.
